True.
It’s hard not to like hime with his effort and ability to score points the hard way, but he is as dirty of a player that ever was. The guy fouls opposing players on pretty much every play, but gets away with a lot of it. I’m not really sure why…

The way Hansborough plays I’m surprised that more players haven’t taken a shot at him. If you look up the phrase “dirty player” in the dictionary you would see his picture!

This reminds me of a story told by a former NBA player (I forgot his name) involving Michael Jordan.

During a game, he managed to knock down Jordan with a hard screen that Jordan didn’t see coming, which pumped up his teammates.

Later in the game, this player saw a chance to do it again and got into position to set the screen behind Jordan. However, right before Jordan ran into him, Jordan side-stepped him and punched him – hard – in the groin.

A referee saw it but called just a personal foul (non-shooting) on Jordan, so the player didn’t even get free throws in exchange for taking a punch in a “sensitive” area.

Point being, basketball in the 1980′s was very, very different than today.

That was nothing compared to the “accidental” elbow thrown by Metta World Peace to the noggin of James Harden. Tyler’s just lucky that he didn’t get hit a foot lower then he would have something to complain about.

Continued to illegally move? He got knocked backward because Bynum ran right into him. That’s illegal? I’m no physics major, but I swear Newton had some laws of motion that explain Hansbrough’s movement after Bynum ran into him.

Of course it was intentional, and of course he should be suspended. If there’s one rule that requires strict interpretation, then it’s got to be the no punching rule.

I understand the heat of the battle argument. Any1 who plays sports with passion has lost their cool or seen some1 lose their composure before. But to say its not intentional is childish. be a man, own up to it, you lost your cool.

Perfect example: Suh – “The man upstairs knows I didnt stomp on him on purpose and thats all that matters”
