nope. We can be sure it will be either Miami, Cleveland or a big market contender (Knicks, Nets, LA teams, maybe Chicago, Houston or Dallas). Any other teams just don't make sense. I think you can probably narrow it down to just Miami, Cleveland or the NY/LA teams.

When exactly did Stern tell Gilbert to shut up? Gilbert didn't do anything to mess up. That's the thing people forget. Cavs did everything LeBron wanted. He just made a decision for something else. That isn't anyone's fault. He just chose "different."

Bringing up Kyrie's free agency is ridiculous since he's on a rookie contract and it is absolutely dumb not to sign the first extension which will make him be under team control for basically 7 years. Unless you bring up any other rookie's looming free agency, you are just trolling and not adding to the conversation.

Also, LeBron wasn't talked into it. It has been documented he was down from the beginning. Does he regret it now? He has said he would do things differently (but hey, facts right?). The Girls and Boys club thing was a way of building in protection from criticism. LeBron does a ton of great stuff in the Akron area and has since he was drafted. I commend him on it. However, that night was a sham when you consider how much money he and the network made.

He treated him like anyone would have treated a player who they gave everything to and then were screwed on international TV. To think no other owner would have responded in anyway is downright ridiculous.

Get over your hate. Cleveland fans have.

Thank you jimmymarlinsfan for illustrating my point. Miami fans arrogantly have acted like having LeBron play for their team is their goddamn birthright. As if LeBron's decision was some form of manifest destiny. As if Cleveland fans had no right to be mad at Lebron, despite Bron leaving them at the alter on national TV, because they somehow didn't deserve him in the first place. I don't really care about Cleveland one way or the other, but it would be hilarious to see LeBron leave Miami the same way he left Cleveland just for the sheer hypocrisy of Miami fans bitching about LeBron being "disloyal" to them.

The use of capital letters, this must be the right opinion. Capital letters are only used when someone is totally correct.

David Stern stepped in and told Gilbert to shut up. Lebron James is the media darling, he is talked about as one of the greats of all time now and Dan Gilbert couldn't hold onto him. Gilbert is the one who messed up, Dan Gilbert lost the best NBA player of this generation and he is winning titles/MVP's for another franchise. Of course Gilbert would do things different, how is he doing with top tier free agents? When will the Kyrie free agency talk start?

Lebron doing things different...why? He was talked into holding a "signing day" style press conference, which drew big ratings, made people some money as well as got the Boys and Girls Club a large donation. The NFL is now looking into a "signing day" for free agents. Fans want the drama in the off season. Lebron couldn't go tell Gilbert he was not coming back, it would have ruined the TV special. Gilbert would not have acted professionally and respected the decision, he would have leaked it to all of the media. Everyone saw how he treated Lebron James upon his departure.

I don't understand what Dwight Howard, or his exit from Orlando, have to do with LeBron.
What can Cleveland mock about anything Miami? How about those 97 World Series champion Cleveland Indians! Oh right. They choked it away in the 9th and lost in extra innings. But at least Cleveland has the hottest women on earth. Oh right. They don't. Well at least the browns are annual contenders. Oh damn. Sorry mistake by the lake.
Actually, Gilbert was mad because LeBron didn't have the decency to talk to him himself. No one ever made the argument he couldn't do what he wanted. And who said Cleveland was the only place that could give him money?

So did you even read the response or just completely ignore it and rehash the same nonsense, just in a more wordy way.

Let me capitalize it for ya...

LEBRON AND GILBERT HAVE BOTH SAID PUBLICLY THAT THEY MADE MISTAKES AND WOULD DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN THE LAST TIME.

No go ahead and ignore that and come back with a 4 paragraph response on why Lebron would never go back to making money for Gilbert.

I have no grudge. Lebron made Gilbert alot of money and in the business of the NBA, players are allowed to leave teams when they are an UFA. Gilbert should have thanked Lebron James for his time in Cleveland and wished him well. Instead Gilbert bashed his former employee publically. Lebron did not deserve that after all of the money he made him. Gilbert was mad because his cash cow was taking his talents to South Beach.

Gilbert showed Lebron what kind of man he really is, and Lebron should never work for him again. Lebron can do obviously whatever he wants, but what does that say to his kids, that their Dad could work for anyone in the world but he chooses to work for the man who didn't appreciate him, spoke poorly of him after all the hard work he put in for him for seven years and only is going to use him once again? Seems a bit over the top, but it still is a teaching moment for him to his sons. Cleveland is not the only place that can pay him millions upon millions of dollars.

I know a little bit about this subject--unlike everyone else spouting off here--and I can assure everyone that nobody has come remotely close to the truth on this subject.

LeBron James is going to retire from basketball in 2014 so that he can star in the first network television program shot in 3-D, which will begin shooting that summer. He'll be taking on the role of the eponymous hero in the action series Daniel Boone.

Chillin in Miami? its 80 degrees on average down there.. why would he be cold? Playing for World Championships? I may be wrong, but he only has one.. Dwayne Wade has two..and Cleveland keep your pocket change? You do realize the Cavs are valued at just over $434 million right? I would take that "pocket change" any time, day or night..
