money – If your point is that two guys wearing similar clothes in a pickup game can confuse you, what will you do when every player on the other team has the same uniform? You are defeating your own point. Players look at the number. By your definition, every player in the league is going to know and recognize every other player by how their face looks. That isn’t reality. Players have numbers for a reason. A pickup game is the only place you will be looking at the other player’s face, but only BECAUSE they don’t have numbers. If they were to wear similar numbers, say 23 and 32, and some guy on the other team was dyslexic, then MAYBE you could claim there might be a mixup.

As far as how they list the name on the back. I don’t care. Plenty of teams in various sports have run into similar situations in the past. They have used initials, partial names, full names (Jack & Jim Youngblood with the LA Rams) etc. They will do whatever they need to do.

is the numbers thing a point being made to a defender getting confused y which twin he is guarding or the same name thing? becuz if that jab of yours was making a point to a defender getting confused as to whom he is guarding, a player has lapses and will not always tell themselves in the heat of the moment, ok this is number so n so, there could be lapses just like in regular pickup games where two guys are wearing gear that looks similar and you happen to pass the ball to the wrong guy. even though they arent wearing the same exact thing, it’s close enough to where you wont notice their numbers in that play. or whatever.

if your jab was making a point to the name thing, it still doesn’t answer what they will do as far as how to write the names on the jersey. i asked because usually if guys have the same last names , teams take the first initial of each player which is usually different and put it next to the similar last names to distinguish. but the morris twins have the same initials all together. jimmygrahamchrisivory gave a good idea. you just berated to sound funny and get thumbs up to entertain strangers..maybe they will just be fine with having different numbers to distinguish but still my inquisition as to how they would distinguish the names on the jersey still stands.

You couldn’t be any more wrong. I like CP3, but lets not forget how he quietly forced his way out of NO. Great player, yes, and he does elevate the play of his teammates, but there are players like that on plenty of teams, whether they complain about it or not. Lebron, Durant, Rose, Chris Paul, Duncan/Ginobili/Parker, Harden, etc. The list goes on and on. Just because some people have a tendency to complain off the court doesn’t mean they don’t raise the level of play around them simply by just being there. Plus, ROSE HASN’T COMPLAINED. Just because his brother spoke ill of the team doesn’t mean that that’s Derrick’s logic too.

I don’t know if you are aware of this, money2long, but the NBA now puts numbers on the front and back of the jerseys. It doesn’t matter what name is on the back.

Imagine a world where star players who are in contracts for over $100million (with their teams, shoes, whoever) don’t complain about their surrounding talent and actually do something to raise the play of those around them. The list of current players who fit that description is Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, and that’s it.

Of course he wouldn’t call out his brother. That’s family. That’s blood. However that doesnt mean what his brother said isn’t dumb. What moves do you think the front office should have made. There was really none to be made. You’re not giving up Deng, Noah or Gibson and no body wanted anybody else. Boozer is the next asset but nobody wants that contract. So what exactly deal was there to make? Who are you bringing in? It’s so dumb when people say what moves should have been made but dont say what that move is. I’m not talking about Reggie because he can’t really call out and advocate for a specfic player to be moved out as that would have made this situation even worse. I’m talking about people like you that comment on these things. Understand the tax implications and how that could hinder a team from making moves in the future. This aint NBA2K12. Why do you think there wasn’t many trades yesterday at all?

DRose didn’t really separate himself from his brothers comments. His brother says management isn’t doing a good job. DRose says our goals are the same. So either his brother is saying what DRose is thinking but giving Derrick plausible deniability. Or DRose didn’t want to call out his brother. Not sure which, hell even both can be correct, but truth is the Bulls front office didn’t get the job done at the trade deadline.

Reggie’s comments confirm one thing. He’s an ass. 90% of teams/fans/FOs would kill to have the Bulls’ roster. This isn’t some hack team that refuses to bring in quality players for Rose, they build their teams a certain way and have for along time. If Reggie things this FO is all of a sudden going to go against their philosophy he’s in for a surprise.

And besides did Reggie want them to make a move this season, to further enter the luxury tax, for a season that he might not even play? Can’t have it both ways. They’re obviously prepping for a big run 1-2 years from now when they can clear some cap space and have done a hell of a job filling out this roster on a shoestring budget in all honesty.
