For his own good, he should sign with Phoenix. They have the best training/medical staff in the NBA.
Steve Nash, Grant Hill, and Shaq for example.

He’s going to sign with Miami this summer. The Heat were not about to waste a roster spot THIS YEAR on somebody who wouldn’t possibly play until NEXT YEAR, and that’s why Oden remains on the market. But they will take a shot in the offseason.

There’s also a risk involved- if he suffers further injury his number of suitors could go from “a few” to “zero”. He is essentially betting on himself to get healthy and not suffer a setback during rehab. With his history is that the safest bet?

I do want to see him back on the court though. He was a good player with excellent defensive skills and instincts.

Not sure about Oden if he can come back it’s going to be a slow process. I hope he can make it back and contribute to whomever he signs with.

That’s exactly what he should do. There’s no need for him to rush things up and risk further injuries. Take your time big man, make a proper recovery and get back next year fully healthy
