No, no a thousand times no. Howard has very limited offensive skills and a glass attitude … no internal compass, and he seeks to blame others for his shortcomings. Kobe sees this all too plainly. Howard is not Celtic material.

The answer to your question is HELL NO… You are talking about the same guy who went to the D-League and averaged a triple-double in just three games (28 ppg, 11.3 rpg, and 10.7apg). Why only three games you might ask? Because they (the Rockets management) realized that he was leaps and bounds above those guys and it only took three games to that conclusion. I see why your comment has garnered multiple thumbs down…

Oh yeah no question..I actually thought he would be a good pro because he was so versatile at Louisville. His attitude is what got him cut. I still would like to see him play well, in spite of my original comment.

Any Celtics fan that wants or supports Howard for Rondo is crazy yeah it might help this year but Rondo is under a bargain contract. Howard is a free agent after this year and who knows if he would re-sign, he hasn’t exactly shown too much loyalty lately its not worth the risk at all. Go get a Josh Smith or Al Jefferson both guys have expressed interest in playing in Boston they are worth it but don’t give up Rondo.

I reckon just like any other farm league, you can only draw players from your affiliate. Also, it’s not like this kid wasn’t playing at all. If I remember correctly, he had himself a nice college career and I thought he had good things coming in the NBA.

Worst case is he rides the bench. Middle of the road, he eats up some minutes to give the old guys a break. Best case, he finds a niche and he logs some quality minutes.
