Holy hell what is with these NBA and MLB writers? If the Raptors or Blue Jays accomplish anything, anything at all…they trivialize it. If an American team wins it’s always a bigger deal. Toronto won, deal with it.

The problem is that now with YouTube and the likes of TFB, we’ve pretty much seen everything as far as dunking is concerned. Now the players have to attempt dunks with such a high difficulty level that they need 5-6 attempts before succeeding, thus ruining the flow of the competition. NBA players have other things to do than practicing their dunks all day long, so it’s absolutely normal that the competiton sucks. The NBA should put an end to this and find something else.

The dunk finals was great. The first round and second round were painful. They need to reduce the clock to 45 seconds per dunk. Put up or get off the court.

The dunk contest should have started the night. It was a letdown. No need to kick it…. I did enjoy everything else. They should have had 8-10 contestants in the 3 point shoot out though. Maybe several more teams in the other events as well. Enjoyed the East vs. West format also.

Glad there wasn’t too many outrageous props. Although that Jeremy Evans painting was pretty funny, and now even cooler since the article states is was actually Evans himself who painted it. I’m impressed with that.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many dunk attempts killed the entire thing for me though. I don’t care if it’s 12th men at the end of the bench in the contest or it’s the NBA’s brightest stars, so as long as they put on a show, but this one was meh.

It’s All Star weekend, nobody wants to watch the All Stars watch bench players in a dunk contest. That might have been the worst dunk contest in NBA history.

A game of HORSE might not be a terrible idea, if you used All Stars.

Time for the dunk contest to go away. Too many gimmicks and too many attempts to complete a dunk. Agree HORSE or 1 on 1 competition would be welcome addition

I used to love this as a kid. MJ and Dominique… power and grace.

Now we have bench scrubs needing 7 tries each.

Such a shame. I’d rather watch LeBron, Kobe and Durant play HORSE.
