Their most pressing need is guard depth, given the season-ending injuries to Barbosa and Rondo, meaning the team has just 3 viable guards right now (Lee, Bradley, and Terry).

However, they very much could use additional bigs too.

That would make some sort of perverted sense if the Celtics needed a big man. the problem is that they need a PG.

I can see the Spurs making a deal with a team like Detroit or Portland, teams that aren’t likely to hurt them. But why would they make a deal with Miami, knowing that such a deal increases the odds of meeting the Heat in the finals, should the Spurs make it that far?

Celtics should go for him. They keep losing players to torn ACL’s. The solution? Start loading your roster with guys who have no ACL’s.

I agree, money. But what would Heat have to give up for him? I wouldn’t part with Cole. I might be willing to give up Haslem, but doubt Spurs want him.

If the Spurs can get a late 1st rd, early 2nd rd pick then you can have him. He might be a better fit in the East but not in the West. Us Spurs fans in San Antonio know what he’s capable of but it just doesnt materialize on a consistent basis.

oh man, dejaun blair on the heat would be a perfect fit, even though he isn’t much of a shot blocker, but he clogs up the paint and he is the type of worker who fits in well for that team. he will be a better version of reggie evans for them if they snag him
