Even with the new CBA, it’s absolutely incredible how easily GM’s are willing to overpay upper level stars. There should be maybe 5-8 max players in the league, the guys that will win games on their own no matter their surroundings (James, Durant, Paul, Carmelo, etc.). Guys like Jefferson are great to have, but really he should on a team with 2 others upper level guys, and get paid accordingly.

Sixers work something out for Big AL. Even if Bynum comes back he probably only last like 5 minutes(he hurt himself bowling). Big Al isn’t as good but he isn’t as injury prone either. I would rather lock him up over an often injuried Bynum. Hawes, Turner and whatever else matches the money for Big AL. I wouldn’t mind Millisap either at the 4.

Suns don’t really offer max contracts. It just appears that they offer max deals. Eric Gordon when they knew the hornets would match and amare when they knew the Knicks would give him a better offer. The Suns don’t even know what their plan is in rebuilding. All Sarver wants to do is sell tickets not win championships. So disappointing to be a fan of a team with zero direction.

Jefferson is a good piece on a team but no way your max Salary player to build around. The Suns are an attractive team to others cause they have cap space not looking for salary dumps to get under luxury tax. Plus they have stacks up some first rounds picks on top there own top 5 this year. Lakers don’t make the playoffs we get there first and it’s unprotected and would be a secon first round lottery pick hell ya baby.

Jazz are not trading their golden boy hayward. especially to a western conference team. also dont underestimate the suns not wanting to give jefferson a max contract because they sure were quick to offer a max contract to eric gordon before he could even play

Kurt, I’m not sure the Suns brass know what their rebuilding plan looks like either, so if you ever find it, forward it on to them. I’m sure they’ll be excited to see what a rebuilding plan really looks like.

Is there anyone the Suns aren’t interested in? First Gay, then Josh Smith, then Shumpert, and now these guys? I think they just really are desperate to find a go-to scorer that they can start to build around. Even though Smith and Jefferson are only borderline All-Stars and can’t be the main piece of a contending team.
