@maz He’s improved in pretty much every facet of the game every season since he got the the NBA, especially with his passing. He’s been forced to be a combo guard this year due to the rosters construction and is averaging around 4-5 apg.

@fruitcove It has nothing to do with being dramatic. We are rebuilding. When rebuilding, the best way to succeed in a small market is to horde picks, and trade away assets for more picks/young talent, or to get rid of bad contracts. How is JJ going to help us with that? By being an above average SG playing off the bench for a terrible team? Give me a break with the asset to the community stuff, JJ is great with charity work but so are many other players including Jameer. It’s a business. If a bad product is put on the floor for too long the franchise will suffer. Bottom line= If the Magic are serious about putting a winning team on the floor in the near future they will trade JJ. Resigning him would just add another overpaid player to go along with Davis, Harrington, and Nelson.

JJ has turned into a solid player. He’s loved in Orlando and he loves Orlando. I don’t see Hennigan trading away JJ. That would turn the fans against Hennigan. I think he would trade afflolo before JJ.

Hey magicfanguy, Dwight screwed over the team, Shaq screwed over the team, Rashards contract and then the Gilbert Arenas trade screwed the team, trading for Vince Carter (minus Anderson) and Hedo again set the team back. Stop being so dramatic! You sound like a teenage girl. JJ is a good player but a great person and an asset to the community. What will we get in the draft for him? We don’t know. Surely you’re smart enough to know that unless its a top pick, they will just be eventual role players. We have picks. Where’s the loyalty anymore? Keep JJ!

Reddick is good but he is a rental and the only teams that need a player like him don’t have that much to give the Magic either have to lower their asking price or risk him walking either way it’s a tough situation to be in, because no one wants Hedo or Harrington’s contract either. They still have to figure out what they want from Nelson because he’s not the long term at PG from what I hear they might look to get MCW in the draft who could be their future at PG. Who knows what they will do they have options and cards that they really can’t play yet they have to wait and see.

the question i wonder is if the Bulls get Redick, does that make them full blown championship contenders? I think they could package Boozer and someone for a much better 2 guard to vault them even higher in their postseason aspirations

it’s a good question. You’d wonder why they are trading for another 2 but it could just be insurance for Monta or they could then trade Monta somewhere else i.e. to the Pacers for Danny Granger

He’d be a good fit for a lot of teams. Any team that wants him better be ready to give up picks, young talent, or be able to take on some bad contracts. They would probably want a 1st round pick and/or Teague from the Bulls.

now i can’t say i’ve watched many magic games and i’m not going to act like i know what type of team they are, because since howard left they don’t have televised games nationally. so my question is, were the bucks interested in redick because they want to trade ellis?
