For all you that think Dudley is a Dud, then you don’t watch his game because if you did you would realize Dudley is a piece the knocks cod use now to win now. He is not a future piece but to get a Suns first rounder would almost definitely be a lottery pick for a future piece. Iman is not irreplaceable for the Knicks and he will never be more then a quality role player. Phoenix would be stupid to do this because they could get more for an all out player in Dudley and they should not be trading draft picks right now at all.

While a Phoenix Suns first round pick is enticing and Dudley is a nice player… NO WAY SHOULD THE KNICKS EVEN CONSIDER THIS. Shumpert is an unbelievable defender who can shoot the three, finish with authority and handle the ball. He doesn’t excel in any of those offensive parts of the game but he is certainly well above average in all of them while adding top of the league wing defense.
Dudley can shoot threes. Big deal.
Terrible offer, absolutely not do we trade Shump Daddy and his flat top!
Besides… we gonna let Dudley eat into Novak’s minutes?!?! Not a chance.

The only people who thinks this is a good trade for both side is Brett and Pheonix.

When Rook is 100 % he will be a lock down back court defender.
Woody won’t let him go.
All the Knicks Need is to get Camby and Sheed back have a healthy team and they
will be ready to roll for the playoffs.

This is not even a possibility.

you clearly don’t watch any Knicks games so you don’t understand how that rotation works. Shump is starting right now and Kidd is playing some 1 whilst JR has played some 3. Brewer is completely out of the rotation now. There are more than enough minutes for him

Sorry Phoenix, I don’t know if you’ve heard but Isaiah’s not running the team anymore so you guys can dream on. Knicks are not trading their only athletic player and best perimeter defender for a 6’7″ power forward. No disrespect to Dudley, I would love to acquire him but Phx needs to get real.

This deal makes no sense for the Knicks. If you’re really trying to chase the heat you need to have athletic wing defenders and shumpert is one of the best. Plus he’s young and he’s cheap (for now). No need for the Knicks to make this move.
