I think the Magic have a lot of reasons to re-sign JJ.
He is a player that has worked his butt off to get where he is now. Consistently improved his game from year to year. Consummate professional, good guy, doesn’t create drama and basically sets the perfect example for the kids coming through.
Sure we could probably get a mid to late first for him, but I think his leadership and all the previously mentioned things are far more valuable.

@maz Yeah, because there are just SO many shooting guards in the NBA that can average 14ppg and 4-5apg, shoot 45-40-90, play efficiently and happily as a starter or off the bench, AND play good team defense, right? Supply is low, demand is high. He is easily worth a 1st round pick, considering most 1st round picks don’t play as well as he does. You’re clueless.

Wow, with Ellis, Jennings, and Reddick on the floor at the same time, the Bucks would be TINY. Maybe that’s Hammond’s thinking, or maybe all three would never set foot on the floor at the same time, but as stated, now way do they give up anything of value for what amounts to a rental.

I forsee someone else stepping up and offering Orlando more than what the Bucks are or will be. Reddick could fit well in Denver, where they score a lot and don’t rely on a shut-down defense.

The Magic can get a better deal than an expiring contract. Redick’s comtract is expiring so why trade him if that’s all the Magic get?
