IT’S BECOMING SCARIER NOWADAYS WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT DWIGHT HOWARD RE SIGNING. BEFORE WE COULD HEAR BEAUTIFUL ,ENCOURAGING STATEMENTS FROM HIM ALMOST TO SUCH A POINT THAT WE NEED NOT TALK ABOUT IT OR WORRY. BUT RECENT EVENTS HAVE UNFOLDED SENSATIONLIZED BY THE MEDIA ABOUT HIS LABRUM TEAR AND KOBE’S TAKE ON THIS ABOUT THE NEED FOR URGENCY CAUSE WE DON’T HAVE TIME. OR IS IT BECAUSE HE DON’T HAVE TIME FOR HIS 6TH RING. KOBE SHOULD SHUT HIS MOUTH BECAUSE IT WILL REBOUND TO HIM. HE COULD BE THE GREATEST PLAYER THAT EVER PLAYED THE GAME, BUT HE PLAYED THIS ONE POORLY. DWIGHT HOWARD THREW BACK THE OUT OF BOUNCE BALL AND TOLD HIM HE IS NOT A DOCTOR,LATER ALSO STATING HIS TEAMMATES DON’T CARE ABOUT HIM. EVERYTIME HE IS ASKED NOW OF HIS FUTURE SITUATION WITH THE LAKERS, HE IS QUICK TO SAY”HE DOESNOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.” I THINK THE MILK HAS BEEN SPILLED AND KOBE BRYANTS LEGACY MIGHT GO TO THE DUST COME JUNE 2013. WITH GASOL WANTING TO BE TRADED, LOOKS LIKE HE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO CHASE MICHAEL JORDAN AFTER ALL.

I agree, but they should ship Nash somewhere as well. They should keep Howard and trade the rest for the highest picks they can get, and get Dwight whatever shoulder surgery he needs and sit him until he is beyond completely healed and rehabbed; and, of course, lose as many of their remaining games as they can so they can contend for the lottery pick.

And, oh yeah, during this time they should insert a newfangled, electro-steroidinal-encephalo post-hypnotic suggest-a-magram in Howard’s head to make him believe he’s the second coming of Mark Price at the free-throw line. Either that, or remove the section of brain-matter responsible for that ability from Nash’s skull before trading him (and take out insurance on the eventual lawsuit by the recipient team when they find out).

Celtics fans have no room to talk about others being delusional. How about that ridiculous story claiming Demarcus Cousins was close to being a Celtic I’m exchange for a bag of hammers. Or this thought that you need a “kings ransom” for Pierce or Garnett. Never mind the fact Rondo’s out, Never mind the fact even with your nice little streak, the Heat would absolutely demolish you if you even got that far. Never mind the fact Pierce looked like he was 42 in last year’s playoffs. Imagine this year’s? But go ahead, let them retire as Celtics, finish as the 6-8 seeds for the next 2 seasons, then lose them for nothing. Garnett bleeds green for life though, right? Except for that neat part where he initially rejected a trade to the Celtics, only to accept after they acquired Ray Allen. Cheers!

I would trade Kobe wherever he wanted to go. Just get a piece that fits with Howard. Same for Gasol and Peace.

Find youth, let Howard and Nash’s playful spirit take over the team and start planning for next year.

Acquire youth, picks and space, keep Howard and Nash.

They can afford to fire two coaches, they just signed a $3 billion TV contract. I don’t think they will hire Phil, nor do most people, but they have $3 billion in their coffers to do with what they want.

As long as the Lakers get rid of D’Antoni, I think Howard would prefer to stay with the Lakers based on what his father and his former teammates have been saying. If the Lakers are still committed to winning titles, then they would logically get rid of D’Antoni. The bigger concern is whether short Buss puts doing things his way above winning. The decision to not bring back Phil Jackson indicates that short Buss is still not committed to winning. That’s what concerns me the most.
