So 6 years ago when the team went 42-40. Sounds like they should no problems without Gasol based on what you’re saying — 6 straight seasons of losing basketball without him, but before then, they were able to pull out a 51% winning percentage in a division with only one good team. Wow, I feel much better about the Lakers’ chances the rest of the way. Thanks for clearing that up.

Hate to say it, but did we here peep from Kobe when Nash was healing? Besides, when is he going to man up like MJ and guard the teams other best skills player the entire game like MJ did when he won his last few rings in the twilight of his career. Now that’s a thought!

Pau Gasol’s injury + Jordan Hill being out for the year + Dwight Howard likely missing more time later this season due to his weakened shoulder pretty much spells the end of the Lakers’ theoretical size advantage coming into the season.

This is totally unrelated but I have to get this out there. I’m watching the TNT halftime show and Shaq is basically calling out Howard for not playing through injuries..(paraphrasing)”he had and played through a torn labrum”. OK Shaq was NOT durable. Howard is playing terrible and basically effortless from what I can see but damn, don’t be a hypocrite Shaq. I can’t stand 110% biased announcers/analysts. As a player Shaq was amazing, as analyst not so much…
