Also a much better shot of making the second round where more home playoff games take place generating more revenue for the team. Trading Al Jefferson (expiring) for Stephen Jackson and Tiago (Both expiring) makes Utah worse while not improving their future AT ALL and losing out on the playoff revenue. Utah gets nothing for an asset and arguably gives up an asset while losing money (playoff revenue) in the process.

I don’t think the Spurs will move the pieces that it would take to get a 28 year old 17/10 guy. He is expiring, but the Spurs will be able to offer him more than anyone else.

Hayward, Favors, Millsap and Kanter is a decent core to start with.

Really Kurt, are you just throwing stuff at a wall to see if it sticks?? Utah is the 7th seed but only 4 games out of 4th and when Mo Williams gets back its worth making a run at that spot. Some insight other than Chris Sheridan saying “the Spurs are the front runners” would be nice. If all it took was Stephen Jackson and Tiago Splitter I feel like 28 other teams would be lining up to make a run at Al Jefferson.
