The change in how the game was called in the third quarter was drastic and lasting. Which is fine, as long as it’s consistent to both teams. In this case, however, it wasn’t.

But yeah, that’s the NBA.

3. The refs spotting the Pacers 9 points in about 40 seconds in the 3rd quarter on 4 brutally ticky-tack calls in a very physical game

2. Roy Hibbert tackling Jimmy Butler and Butler getting called for the foul

1. Marco Bellinini throwing a loose ball off Roy Hibberts leg out of bounds with 1:40 left and the Pacers get awarded the ball with no replay and no explanation.

Honorable mention goes to the refs not realizing that Deshawn Stephenson flops every time he gets near another body and refs buying it. My favorite was when David West ran into him, he flopped like he got hit by a train, and then stared at the ref for not calling a foul. NBA officiating is awful.
