Didn’t notice. Told doctors it was his hamstring. Never knew it was his knee. Maybe it was just a partial tear. Who knows? D-Rose also tore his MCL as well. No one is certain of the extent of Rondo’s tear.

As the guy who said he felt the original Big Three should have been broken up, he’s also been on record on numerous occasions that members of the modern era BIg Three have always been available for the right deal – so we know trades are always a possibility

Announcing his intent for a fire sale only hurts the value he can expect.

Instead, by taking this posture he’s also telling the 11 guys he has on the team that the ball is quite literally in their court to show they can win without Rondo – which means they ALL have got to play better and harder than they have been.

If they do that, at the very least they also increase their own trade value in the process.

It’ll be interesting to see what Ainge does -he’s shown he can work trades that took the Celts from Worst to First even after having lost out on the #1 pick in 2007, I wouldn’t rule anything as improbable.
