Oh goody. Now we’ll get to hear a whole new round of “The Lakers are going to turn it around now” stories.

I can’t decide which would be more fun to see, the Lakers finishing the season at the bottom of the western conference or to turn their season around and just barely miss the playoffs.

From 2006- 2010 he finished 3rd,5th,7th,13th in the entire NBA in assists to turnover ratio. At his worst he averaged 6.3/2.2 per 36 min.

He ranks in the all-time nba leaders for assist% and 3p%

He’s usually been near the top of assists to turnover ratio for his career. The assists have come down and he doesn’t give the ball away. That’s why they had him starting on those slow ball protection Nate teams in Portland. He shot 3s with the best in the league and took care of the ball, but he was brutal and D and creating.

Sorry I make statements based on objective reality.

I guess I got down voted for pointed out that a guy who was a 40% career 3pt shooter going into last season actually might be a decent shooter. Makes sense.

He’s a better shooter than most of the names I’ve seen suggested as “shooters” the Lakers should have acquired. He just hit his limit as far as his role goes- He’s not a starting point guard, but he filled in admirably for some bad Portland, Denver, and Clippers teams in very solid but limited stretches. He’s a back up PG who would be a very solid spot up shooter if used properly. He shoots 3s at a high percentage and doesn’t turn the ball over.

He sucked last year, but it wasn’t like he was Josh Childress and completely lost the ability to hit a shot from anywhere on the court.

It never hurts to add healthy bodies. The rotation now clearly isn’t working, maybe Blake will add something we’re missing, who knows.

At least he is a decent shooter and he is quicker than Nash. Not as bad a back up as you laker haters think. Gees give the guy a break. At this point any little bit helps.

Brett Pollakoff if you think that Steve Flake will be any help at point guard then you have no clue about point guards. The best thing Flake has done for the Lakers is be injured so long so the young point guards could get more playing time. Flake has been a major embarrassment for the Lakers and needs to be traded away.

As if the Lakers need more bad news here comes the biggest Flake at point guard coming back to stink up Staples Center. A shame that we have the two worst excuses for slow point guards in the NBA, Trash Nash and Flake.
