TJ Ford, Jarrett Jack, Jerryd Bayless and now Kyle Lowry have all failed to usurp Jose Calderon. For a team that has troubles drawing Free Agent talent, they seem pretty determined to tell Jose Calderon they don't want him around. It's his 7th year with the Raps... can we just admit he's legit? How crushing would it be if he walks away in the Summer?

So just to recap, we went after a 38 year old PG basically just because he's Canadian, got so desperate that we drastically overpaid Landry Fields just to keep the Knicks from signing him, lost him anyways to LA and then made a desperation trade in which we gave away a lottery pick for a PG with attitude problems just to cover for the Nash failure, and now at the end of the day we'll still have the exact same PG(Calderon) that we started the offseason with.

Bryan ColangeLOL, ladies and gentlemen.

that could actually make good sense if the Blazers indeed are so eager to be rid of Hickson. Because they are the only ones who don't really get any players they can use. But hasn't he been producing pretty well for them this season? He's started all games this season playing 29.3 minutes while averaging a double double and 18.69 in effeciency?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bbbpofa

Good trade for everyone involved. All teams come out a winner.

Blazers don't want to keep Hickson. Prefer trading but if no trade is reached then going to let him walk after seasons end. This gets player we wanted to get back in first to draft and further improves bench.

Mavs get high energy guy who can start if they don't get big time FA or be 6th man of year if they do get a big name FA. They move Collison who from what I hear/read they don't plan on keeping. They get a PG they want who wants be there who is on contract that only guarantees 1million next season thus maintaining flexibility which they love so much.

Lakers get younger. Lakers get player who can do what they want Pau to do. They get a young PG who provides instant bench and could become heir apparent to Nash while shedding salary and getting better.

Raptors shed couple players they don't want anymore while getting a star back and allowing them to trade away some the log jam in front court. If keep him happy he can even recruit for them. Also get a PG who has shown flashes and potential who can be backup and heir apparent to Calderon.

There were rumors about his attitude while here in Houston. Glad the Rockets traded him while they could get some value for him. The lottery pick they got was a huge part of the Harden trade.
