Die-hard Celtics fan, I definitely see where hes coming from, it seems like he was here forever. Everyone knows what he did, leaving for the team we just got in a 7 round fight in for less money. But it is so hard not to like and respect Ray, eventually we will be able to say hes a Celtic for life, just not now while he’s wearing that Heat jersey.

The fans actually have no say in the matter. That organization still loves him, and he still loves the organization. He’ll likely retire as a Celtic, and go into the Hall of Fame as a Celtic. Fact is, he, Pierce, and KG will forever be associated with one another, and with the Celtics franchise. They don’t return to prominence without any of those 3. Boston fans seem to forget that.

I think that’s more up to the fans, and after you turned down twice the $ and the no-trade clause you wanted to join the team that knocked the Celtics out of the playoffs last year… I’m guessing probably not.
