Dude suffered countless losing seasons in Minnesota while playing MVP type basketball on no-talent teams…..and eventually was traded. How does this make him a traitor? It’s not even like he held his team hostage like most players (Carmelo/Dwight Howard) have done in recent history.

Seems to me Ainge and Doc were clear on his role as a backup here. And that he may be a traceable commodity as he was last year.

I think all of that ruled out the Celtics for him. Miami gives him a better chance for a ring and they are not in a situation where they would trade him.

Given Allen’s situation, you can’t blame him for taking that deal (plus the better weather) for less money. He’s earned the right to play where it makes the most sense for him and his family.

C’s fan here. I wouldn’t boo Ray if I was at the game today. I’m not bitter about anything. Calling him Benedict Allen just sounds like were in middle school or something. LOL

Allen is no traitor. He saw the writing on the wall in Boston and took another offer.

As far as I’m concerned, it was and is no big deal. IMO he’s a one-trick pony, a role player and not a star.
