The truth is, its a collection of players that don’t fit together well. Buss Jr. went and tried to play fantasy basketball with real players.

D’antoni made a correct statement. He’s seems to be the only person asscociated with lakers, including the fans, that has a firm grasp on the situation.

they have no bench, no rotation to speak about.
the players do not fit the coaches system.

If you want the Lakers to win you have to bench or trade Kobe because no superstar player shoots under 50% and expects to win. AND/OR get rid of D’Antoni

If you want your team to play good defense, you have to install defensive scheme, practice and make players accountable. Screaming defense on sideline doesn’t help.

That was a subtle shot at Kobe Bryant, because he’s the only player on the lakers that goes one on one and play no defense.

BICKERSTAFF!!!! 4-1 this year as head coach, his only loss to the spurs on a last second lucky shot. the only coach that didn’t try to implement a system he let them play

This is the first time I’ve read a quote from Mr. D’Antoni and have to say good job. I don’t have a crummy made up quote making fun of him for this one.

Coach actually gives a direct, correct answer. Check that off the list of goals this season for Mr. D’Antoni.

exactly! what is D’Antoni going to do about it? If the Lakers decide to revamp the roster to MD’s preference, fine…then do it…because in most sports (especially the big 4), if the coach loses the team, he is gone. So Buss family, you telling me you are committed to MD for the next few years?

on a side note:

(…loungefly is now seeking his pleasure from PFT where his 49ers are finally in back the big show…and still reminiscing about his SF Giants’ WS victory. damn…this could have been the year for a “trifecta/triple crown” IF the Lakers were good. came closest in 1989…Lakers, 49ers win but Giants lose in WS)
