Joakim Noah saves ball, Belinelli grabs it and wins it for Bulls (VIDEO)

Jan 24, 2013, 1:51 AM EST

This play sums up well why the Bulls are still winning despite being without the league MVP all season — hustle isn’t always pretty but it usually works.

The Bulls and Pistons were tied 82-82 with 14 seconds left, Chicago guard Nate Robinson had the ball when Marco Belinelli started a cut to the basket then retreated quickly to the corner. Robinson got him the ball and a good look, one that was well short and grazed the front of the rim. It started to bounce out of bounds.

Joakim Noah had run over his man (no call) and was in position for the rebound. But the ball bounced the other way and that’s when Noah made the play of the game — he chased it down, somehow saved it and when he threw it back in it bounced right to Belinelli slashing to the hoop. Belinelli made the layup, got the and-one foul and that was the ballgame. Bulls win.

It was the play of the night.
