Delonte is one of those players that has never been able to properly evaluate HIMSELF. He thinks he’s Allen Iverson. He thinks he’s better than he is and that’s the source of him being a distraction. He’s difficult for other pros to get along with because when you’re around a guy who thinks he’s better than he is and acts and talks that way, it gets very annoying dealing with that person. Its that whole “that guy needs to get it in his place” mentality. You’d think that being out of the league would humble him but I just don’t see it happening. I think he’s looking at this thinking he’s going to destroy the D-League and get back in the NBA, rather than having a humbled approach and approaching this like he’s lucky to have the ability to be where he is and he should take what he can get. Leave your arrogance at home and learn some humility. Maybe then he’ll learn that’s how you become a good teammate.

People aren’t doubting his talent or ability to play. They’re doubting his ability to behave and “play nice with others.”

If he does well and is a model player who gets along well with his coaches and teammates, he’ll have some NBA teams take interest. For now, though, he’s considered too volatile.
