I know he’s deserving of another All-Star appearance but I’d get rid of LaMarcus Aldridge & let the West be very guard heavy

I completely agree with that! Defense is overlooked by many basketball fans at the NBA level. I am glad this year that ALMOST everyone selected for the all-star game plays at least good defense, but many players on the list play outstanding defense. This is odd because normally you can not say that about Carmelo Anthony, who has played some really good defense this year (getting switched to the 4 and having Mike Woodson as his coach really helped).

I think Jrue Holliday is most imroved! cant argue with his numbers, nd he is a #1 option compared to Ibaka who is 3rd or 4th option on his team. prob 4th

Greg Monroe got hosed here. How can you justify putting loser Boston players on the team when nobody has been checking for them since 08′. They don’t even have a winning record and surely won’t make the playoffs. Plenty of better players on other losing teams.

Unfortunately for Boozer he falls squarely into the “too little too late” category. I would like to see him play at this level until next year, and then he should qualify to be an All Star starter.

Very nice, they recognized all the power forwards that have been spectacular in the West. No Curry which is tragic, but I just cant see him as better than any of the ones that were named so it makes sense.

NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2013 – The San Antonio Spurs’ Tim Duncan and the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh headline the list of 14 players that have been selected by the coaches as reserves for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game, the NBA announced today. Duncan earns his 14th selection, trailing only the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant (15) and the Boston Celtics’ Kevin Garnett (15) among active players, while Bosh secures his eighth trip to the All-Star Game in 10 NBA seasons.
