This is no way similar to them getting Manu and Tony late in the draft. The guy played 4 years of college ball from 05 to 09 and went undrafted. Essentially what you are saying is that three years from Baynes will suddenly morph to a HOF player (both Manu and Tony will be in the hall). That’s seven years after going undrafted. More likely the Spurs think he is a serviceable player, but a player at Manu’s and Tony’s level probably not.

I’ve seen Baynes play. He was a solid player at Washington State. He could be decent at the end of the bench.
