They should try to trade granger because I don’t think he will elevate them to a contender type of team. For him to be effective, he needs to score the most points on the team and he doesn’t really do anything else at an elite level. I think they should try to trade for the best point guard that they can get. Someone who can run the offense and is a pass first type of player. They would be able to play George hill more at the 2, and paul george can be their number one wing scorer. Even if they trade for someone like Kyle Lowry or calderon, I think it will help the team.

There’s no way Golden State gives up Klay Thompson for another injury prone Center and end of the bench foddle in Daniel Gibson. They’d have to get another star or at least a very solid player in return and draft picks. Thompson is still young and hasn’t even reach the best he could be yet. He and David Lee are their only source of scoring while Curry is out

With the emergence of Paul George, the Pacers should definitely keep the option open but the prospect of combining Paul George entering his prime with Granger who has vet experience and can score is quite intriguing.

This team is stout defensively, add in another scorer (a healthy Granger) and they could be potent in the Playoffs.

I agree its late in season for Memphis of Indiana to make trades...but its fun for me to play GM so here's a mega 4 team trade I think improves all 4 teams:

Cleveland: Rudy Gay, Tony Morrow (expiring), Festus Ezeli (rookie center), Johan Petro (expiring), Biedrinis (2 years)...

Atlanta: Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters, Tony Wroten, Luke Walton (6 mil expiring)...

Memphis: Lou Williams (5 mil 3 years), Klay Thompson, Kyle Korver (5 mil expiring), Omri Caspi (expiring)...

Golden State: Anderson Varejoa, Danny Gibson (expiring)...

trade works via espn trade machine...

What's with teams like MEM and IND trying to shoot themselves in the foot when they are competing for a slight chance at a title? Hey, could it be that these teams are even in that kind of position because the core has been around together for a while!? Hmmmm....but naw, go ahead and break it up. That's real smart. Go trade Granger for picks and young talent that you hope one day gets as good as Granger just so you guys can trade him for MORE picks and young talent.

Sheesh, it's like teams are building for the future alllll the time, and then when that future becomes the present, they wanna start all over again. WTF. And for what? To see if they can get the next MJ, Kobe or LeBron? And then what, just to see them leave for a more attractive market or franchise once thye rookie contract and 1st post-rookie contract run out?

This is about as good as a team from Indy is gonna get. Just roll with it. No huge names are gonna want to sign in Indiana. The way the roster is constructed in IND is beautiful and they are all still young, they can only get better. I can't wait 'till one of these teams like IND or MEM or PHI wins a championship (only if my Lakers or even the Rockets are out though, hehe) and sets a new precident for building teams and keeping the core together for 4-5 seasons+, even better if it's without a mega-star, with just all solid players.
