That’s like saying Derek Jeter is a great defender because he’s won like 5 gold gloves. Those awards are shams. Frickin Larry Hughes made all NBA defensive team one year because he’d hang back in passing lanes and lead the league in steals. By no means was he a great defender, though. Point is, Kobe is a good on the ball defender, but not all-time great overal defensive player like Scottie Pippen or Wilt Chamberlain.

12 time all NBA Defense in a 17 year career. But he can’t play defense. 5 NBA titles but since he has not gotten his 6th one like MJ those 5 don’t count at All… To the point of 10 guys that play better defense than 24. Question, how many of those dudes are 2guards and are better than the dude period. Same as the amount of Championship the Thunder have… ZERO! Like him or hate It is really asinine to say 5 Rings Don’t count, he couldn’t win w/o Shaq… Got 2 without him… He couldn’t win w/o Pau Gasol.. Got 3 without him! How many do they Have w/o 24? Shaq 1… Gasol 0!! At last check MJ won 6rings.. All six with Scott Pippen ONE OF THE 50greatest of ALL TIMES! DRodman… A Hall of Famer. And Rodman Had Championships before he came to CHI-Town! So Kobe had 1 HOF’er in Shaq and MJ had 2. Also MJ had Paxon/Kerr/Hodges… 3 of the NBA’s top all time 3point shooters in percentage. So that’s 2 HOF’er for MJ to Kobe’s 1. 6 Championships in 6 tries to Kobe’s 5 Championships in 7 tries. And he’s discredited because of exactly what? Mere dislike!

If anything T-Mac was underrated. People look back on his career and think he sucked because he wasn’t successful in the playoffs. They just played better teams, and his performance in the playoffs was actually great. I don’t blame T-Mac for not getting it done. He didn’t have the longest prime, but he was one of the top 5 players in the league at one point.

holy crap, people…T-Mac (along with Starbury and Stevie Franchise) was one of the most overrated players…EVER!
his team was better when he was not in the line-up! and this is not on some small sample, he missed a lot of games.
i dont know what else to say. i have done the “T-Mac sucks” rants several times already on PBT throughout the years…

well…i guess the obvious question would be to know if Kobe and T-Mac were ever in Europe together…
