Today on PBT Extra it’s the irrepressible Kay Adams asking if LeBron James would trade some of those points for a couple more rings, and if Kevin Durant can best LeBron as youngest to 20,000.

Then we talk All-Star reserves. Good news Warriors fans, I think you deserve one. And I think the Knicks should get a second All-Star (to go with Carmelo Anthony, who will start) but it is not J.R. Smith.

The most exciting part of the All Star break for true B-Ball fans is it marks the start of the season !

After the All Star break, teams & players start to play for all the marbles !

No more strategy games, test out the scrubs at the end of the bench or rest your entire lineup.

It’s when almost every game matters to gain the best possible playoff position.

Hurry up and get this silly little All Star crap over !!!

    Tip off…..PLAY BALL !!!

You are correct, to a certain degree, teams do tend to “serious” things up after the all-star break. But playoff positioning is more important to some teams than to to others. There are many, for example the Spurs and the Heat, for whom being rested and healthy is of far greater concern than is landing the No. 1 seed.
