I won’t even start for how hypocritical your comment is on FG% for Lebron vs. Kobe while you started out your comment saying Wilt is the best ever. So you discredit making baskets at the rim for Lebron but when Wilt was constantly making layups and dunks he is the best ever?

the Lakers have won alot of games Bcus of Kobe but he has cost them alot too. I’ve seen him shot his team out of games. LeBron not so much. now LeBron is starting to get that killer instinct, he is far from done winning championships

You hit the nail on the head. People forget those little (factual) details when criticizing LeBron. Obviously (1 Championship later) he did the right thing. Besides, gauging by Gilbert’s broken hearted letter, the Cavs seem to lack leadership and direction.

man…Kobe is at the tail-end of his career…a long successful career. you can’t take away what he accomplished. is Lebron a better player? sure. heck, he may be the greatest of all time but Lebron has a way to go to cement his place as one of the greats…Kobe has already done that.

It took Lebron 2 finals failures and almoust 10 years to actually develop he’s post game, wich still needs a lot of work. He just does not put in as much work in raising he’s skill as he should. James is a physical phenomen and he’s relying on that too much. You all remember that after Kobe won he’s first title, he spent all summer on perfecting he’s game. Thats afeter he won it all at very young age, he just has diferent drive than Lebron does.

There are too many stat sheet readers and to few fans who watch games outside higlights on youtube, otherwise we would never ever had a discusion about who’s better perimeter shooter. Theres one question we have to rembember: “Why Jordan is BOAT and not Wilt Chamerlain?” I mean Wilt had way better averages than Jordan did, but it’s obvious who was better player. Same thing here.
And btw, about defence – Lebron has raised his play on D, but in he’s prime, Kobe still was better.

Sure they got baited by a reporter, but they are both veterans. No excuses for giving such a sophomoric, self-victimized response.

Uhhmmm.. OK. They are two different players who are both undoubtedly great, but they play two different positions and have very different games. Kobe is a better scorer, Lebron a much better passer, as just one example. Who they guarded one time in a game doesn’t really prove anything.

Bruce Bowen was a better defender than either. Is he better than both now?!?

A decent example would of been Robert Horry

I’m far from a Kobe fan, but that is just a terrible example. By that logic, AI is better than both of them. He was the only all-star calibur player on his team for years, and won plenty of series over the years

kd is a better scorer but doesn’t control a game like LeBron and isn’t close to as good as a defender.

From my end, that was the most nationally scrutinized and criticized season I’ve ever witnessed in any professional sport, at least in the USA.

Post game is non-existent? Guess you missed the playoffs this past season. And all of this season.

Shot is still horrid? He’s shooting 54.6% from the field this season. 40.7% from 3.

Kobe’s CAREER HIGHS in those categories? 47.8% from the field and 37.5% from 3.

In fact, LeBron has only shot below 47% ONCE in his entire career, and that was his rookie year.

On the other hand, this is the ONLY time Kobe has ever shot above 47% from the field.

(Oh, plus LeBron’s a better rebounder, passer, and defender. He’s simply better at basketball than Kobe is)
