Kobe being voted to the all NBA defense team is like Jeter being awarded a gold glove. Means nothing.

Honestly, Kobe doesn’t hold a candle to Jordan, no matter what you say about their teammates. If you’ve ever wached those Jordan championships..Jordan literally took over games and was absolutely unstoppable. Everyone in the building knew he was getting the ball, yet he still found a way to score in the dying minutes of games.

I literally have never seen an NBA Finals game where Kobe Bryant has looked unstoppable.

The 2009 and 2010 championships were won off the backs of some incredible defense and toughness in the trenches from Gasol and Bynum in the 4th quarters. The things I remember from those championship wins were those clutch Derrick Fisher shots, Ariza in 2009 and MWP in 2010 making some huge plays late in games, and Gasol taking on the Celtics front line and beating them at their own game. The only thing I recall from Kobe is that terrible 6/24 game in game7, yet he takes the MVP trophy and talks as if it were all him.

I know Lakers fans make it hard to like Kobe but to act like he meant nothing to the Lakers championships is clueless and stupid. He was just as important as Shaq. Shaq won another we a 2 guard that was ncloser to Kobes equal Kobe won 2 more with a Center not half the player Kobe is. But when it comes to this year Kobe is shooting wayyyyyy too much while being a liability on defense. with the guys on that team no one should be avg over 25 ppg…. Kobe isn’t allowing guys to get in any rhythm offensively. than they defense starts too lack and get disinterested in playing defense.

2. Pau was responsible for the Chip against Boston, when it was precluded the Fakers would lose and Kobe quit / started whining
3. 38 games in- Kobe has 1104 points and has taken 800 FRIGGIN SHOTS at 47 %

Durant has taken 695 shots ….a whole 105 SHOTS FEWER and he has 1100 points.

So, wanna-be-like-mike is SABOTAGING his team by shooting EVERYTHING!
While Durant had taken 100 fewer shots and only trails by 4 pts and helping his team have one of the best records in the league….

While THRASHING the fakers twice!!!

I’m not sure age is the issue (he’s not as young as he once was, obviously, but he’s always been a “freelance” type of defender off the ball) but regardless of that I’d much rather have him concentrate on keeping his guy in check than roaming around the floor potentially allowing his guy to score uncontested. It’s one thing when he was young and it seemed like he really could be everywhere at once, but now he needs to just try and stay in front of his guy.

D12 Nash Kobe are all HOFers… Pau is a potential HOFer… The Lakers have to get that mess together. Dantoni was the worst coach to bring in to fix it. When expectations get high a Dantoni team will fold up I don’t care if Jordan was on his team they would fold. He can coach in smaller markets big markets isn’t his thing. but honestly its never good for the NBA when the Lakers Knicks and Celtics are terrible and right now the Lakers are just a bad team. why do people bring up Kobes past accomplishments? That has nothing to do with what he has been doing this year. if you can’t see that Kobe defense is a problem this year than your too much of homer. there is no reason he should be avg 30 ppg no reason. he still has seen a shot he doesn’t like. i love Kobe he is one of the greatest players all time. and look at his team… its a mess and he has 2 HOFer on that team and a potential 3… you mean to tell me that he can get his ego out the way for the betterment of the team. i used to say Kobe was a better version of MJ but he is lacking in leader ship big time… the Lakers have a up hill battle and they won’t get better unless Kobe changes a few things. and mostly its on defense. Lakers got issues this year. i thought that were a lock for the finals now they might not make the playoffs and lose d12. they got issues.
