Ish Smith jumps over John Wall, still blocks Wall’s shot (VIDEO)

Jan 15, 2013, 10:07 AM EDT

We already showed you how John Wall broke Ish Smith’s ankles with a crossover when the Wizards beat the Magic, but these two had one other great play in this game.

Wall cuts down the lane and gets a nice pass from Trevor Ariza, stops to gather himself and gives a little pump fake as Smith is fully into it and jumps to block the shot then just clears Wall completely.

My favorite part of this is not that Smith leaps over Wall, it’s that he lands and has the presence of mind to recover and still block the shot. Then credit Wall for getting the ball back and getting to the line out of it.

For the record, Smith is six foot and Wall is listed as 6’4″.

Ish wishes he’s 6 foot. Just like the nba. The magic play a heck of a game to beat the clippers then drop a terd vs the wizards.

Incredible effort. What makes the video clip even more entertaining is how the homer Wizards’ broadcasters fail to even mention Smith’s effort. Like it’s a common sight to see a short guy jump completely over somebody else, push off the backboard, then still have time to land and go back up to block the shot?
