Dwyane Wade has fan ejected from front row in Utah (VIDEO)

Jan 15, 2013, 11:38 AM EDT

We don’t have a lot of context here, we don’t know what this man said that earned him having Dwyane Wade asking security to kick him out.

But Wade did, even helped by showing the way. This with just a little over three minutes left in the third quarter a game where Wade and Chris Bosh played so poorly they sat the fourth quarter. Wade was (or at least should have been) frustrated at this point as the Jazz were handling the Heat with ease.

After the game LeBron James (the one of Miami’s big three to play well) praised the Jazz fans as loud and knowledgable. Which they are. But there are always guys willing to take some trash talk over the line. And we don’t just mean Kevin Garnett.

You paid for your ticket, you have the right to cheer and boo, to yell at the referees and your own coach and eat too many boiled hot dogs, to imbibe as you choose. What your ticket goes not give you the right to do is be an a******. Just doesn’t. There are lines of decency that fans should not cross — this is entertainment people, it’s a game. You paid to see these people play. Not sure if this fan crossed those lines or what he did, but Wade has seen and heard a lot over the years and hasn’t done this before. Make your own judgement.

They should have thrown Wade out. Oh yea, the coach did. cry baby.

  2. divan22 - Jan 15, 2013 at 1:30 PM

LOL at these comments. I guess hating on LeBron isn’t fashionable anymore after he stuffed it in all your faces last June, so now it’s Wade’s turn.

    • rtfinch - Jan 15, 2013 at 1:35 PM

No he’s still a douche and very easy to hate. But this article wasn’t about Lebron, it was about DWade back to his usual punk self.

I certainly wouldn’t have walked out with my hands in my sweater pockets. I’d have been smiling and pointing at the scoreboard the whole way out. Then again, if this happened in Philly, security would have laughed too and told Wade to man-up.

    • tfoz5150 - Jan 15, 2013 at 5:30 PM

Damn straight. This guy needs to grow up. Turn back into a real baller again. Fans are going to taunt you…even in Utah. Pick up your game and turn it on. Quit being a wuss.

  4. nycalldayz - Jan 15, 2013 at 1:40 PM

Today’s generation of NBA players are thin-skinned. Fans pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to see these athletes. If fans talk trash to players, so what? Talking trash is apart of sports. As long as there’s nothing offensive as far as children, religion, sex orientation or race.

  5. jason9696 - Jan 15, 2013 at 1:45 PM

Dwayne Wade’s head is almost as big as Placido Polanco’s.

  6. losanginsight - Jan 15, 2013 at 1:56 PM

Wade is and has always been a cry baby. He is mad that he peaked in 2006.

    • mytthor - Jan 15, 2013 at 9:45 PM

Yeah, I’m sure he’s REAL mad. Being a millionaire celebrity with 2 championships, favored to win a third, living in paradise and on the covers of sports and fashion magazines and dating Gabrielle Union sure would make me mad.

      • badintent - Jan 16, 2013 at 12:03 AM

U just smoked all these laker losers ! smooth. They can only dream and choke their rhino horns googling Union’s pics.

      • mytthor - Jan 16, 2013 at 11:52 PM

I’m a Laker fan too, but I just hate haters.

This post is the worst kind of tabloid BS.

Who or what is your source that Wade asked to have this fan removed? I hope it isn’t just being inferred from this video. Neither the local Utah nor the Miami announcers indicated that Wade had anything to do with the ejection. Please don’t tell me that your source is that Wade “even helped by showing the way”. Wade was over there to inbound the ball, as you can clearly see at the end of this clip. Making a gesture towards the exit so that play can continue doesn’t amount to anything. Nobody on site at the game indicated that Wade asked for this fan to be removed, so please, can you tell us your source? If there isn’t one, you ought to be ashamed for bringing us out on this fishing exbidition.

    • michaeljordanseviltwin - Jan 15, 2013 at 3:51 PM

Good point. I watched the game live and it never occurred to me that Wade had anything to do with it. One of the officials made the decision to toss him, not security.

  8. brutl - Jan 15, 2013 at 3:45 PM

    Tabloid BS is right.

I’ve read elsewhere it was something he said to the ref NOT Dwyane

    • gmsingh - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:31 AM

This isn’t fair to Kurt: he’s vying for the MVS this year (Most Valuable Shill).

  9. michaeljordanseviltwin - Jan 15, 2013 at 3:54 PM

Everybody whining about Wade is a giant cry baby. I watched the game live and there was no indication that Wade had anything to do with the fan ejection. He was simply trying to inbound the ball where the fan was sitting. It was the official who had him ejected. Shut up, quit crying. Props to miamatt for making this point first.

    • miamatt - Jan 15, 2013 at 6:15 PM

Thank you, sir. This story is all over the internet, and the headlines are all some form of “Wade has Utah fan ejected”, and I have not yet come across one that lists a specific source, whether player, courtside reporter, or game official. Worse, some indicate that this very video shows Wade pointing out the fan to security. When exactly does that happen?

If somebody can post a link to an article that lists a specicifc source, please do so. At least the Huffington Post says Wade MIGHT have gotten a fan ejected, though even that is questionable.

  10. scobbalobba - Jan 15, 2013 at 5:05 PM

Rumout has it the fan yelled out “Hey D Wade, I hear King James is taking his talents to the Florida Marlins next year”….Just saying

  11. nixwinz - Jan 15, 2013 at 6:49 PM

Wade is such a crybaby, not to mention he is getting old quickly. Heat should shop him now while he still has value.

  12. Mr. Wright 212 - Jan 15, 2013 at 8:12 PM

This is why I respect LeBron and NO ONE ELSE on that team; and why I hate Dwyane Wade more than anyone in the NBA.

    • gmsingh - Jan 22, 2013 at 10:52 AM

If it wasn’t for Lance Armstrong Wade would be the biggest weasel in professional sports.

  13. fruitcovejag - Jan 15, 2013 at 8:20 PM

Dwyane being Dewayne. Sounds just like him. Passive aggressive punk. Didn’t mean to do it but I did. Trade him now Miami for an inside presence. Or for Kobe! No more slumps then!

  14. Jeff - Jan 15, 2013 at 10:04 PM

And I thought just Queen James was a cry baby.

  15. nokoolaidcowboy - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:14 AM

Wow. Will this happen to Spike Led next?

    • nokoolaidcowboy - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:14 AM

  16. jetstizzi85 - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:14 AM

Funny, you all say you saw it live but dont see Wade talking to anyone about the fan? HAHA what game did you watch? He pointed out the fan during the game to security – clear as day! He walks over to that exact fan when security gets there to escort him and the fan jaws off at him as well HAHA

  17. gmsingh - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:28 AM

I feel bad for Wade: there was no way for him to flop on the court just because of something a fan said.

  18. gmsingh - Jan 16, 2013 at 8:33 AM

Later Wade was heard to say “That guy was being a big poopy head.”

  19. 1historian - Jan 16, 2013 at 1:16 PM

There is a LONG list of reasons why I would never waste my (hard-earned) money going to a NBA game. (In the past I’ve been to a bunch of them)

    The list just got longer

  20. macjacmccoy - Jan 17, 2013 at 7:31 AM

I dont think its any players place to get a fan ejected. Just do what your payed to do and let other people do what they are payed to do. Players play, Coaches Coach, Owners Own, and Security Secures.

That’s whats wrong with the NBA the players have to much free reign. They practice when they want, they tell the owners which players to sign, what coaches to hire and what coaches to fire. David Stern is never going to be able to clean up the image of the NBA until the owners make an concerted effort to get their employs egos control .
