Chris Paul out for Clippers Monday vs. Grizzlies, maybe more

The Clippers may be the deepest team in the NBA, but that’s going to get a test Monday. And maybe a little more beyond that.

Chris Paul will be out Monday night when the Clippers travel to face the Grizzlies, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Clippers point guard Chris Paul has a contusion in his right kneecap and will not play Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum….

Asked if he would play against the Grizzlies, Paul said: “I don’t know yet. If a miracle comes through. I hope so. I want to play, no question. But if I feel like I’ll hinder the team, then I won’t.”

The report says CP3 likely sits out the back-to-back game against the Rockets on Tuesday night. Paul is having an MVP caliber season, averaging 16.9 points, 9.7 assists and 2.6 steals per game and is the main reason the Clippers are 28-9.

Rudy Gay will miss the game for the Grizzlies as he attends his grandmother’s funeral.

Paul’s injury happened in the fourth quarter of the Clippers loss to the Magic over the weekend, when CP3 and J.J. Redick banged knees. Paul played through it but there was swelling later. This shouldn’t be a long-term thing, but maybe a couple of games.

Eric Bledsoe will get the start and that should be interesting — Bledsoe completely outplayed Conley in the playoffs last season. There will be a little extra in that matchup.

    Ruh roh

Ruh Roh what? This isnt like a Nash injury that will keep him out for an extended period and leave Clipper fans to make excuses like Laker fans.

      You pathetic glob of nothingness.

    Ruh ruo?

Seriously, if it was the playoffs he would play. Given the embarrassment if riches the Clippers have there is no need. If he was Nash’s age I’d be worried. He’s not and the fact were gonna march into Memphis & Houston and pull out wins with or without CP3 is the main point.

Go back to watching Scooby doo in your parents basement tool.

HAHA Sissy, Reddick’s knee is fine.

Just kidding, good to hear he’s fine he looked like he was in alot of pain when it happened.

Good one. Clippers will blow it. Guaranteed

    • dannymac17 - Jan 14, 2013 at 10:09 PM

Wow @ how wrong you were

  5. pricejustin24 - Jan 14, 2013 at 8:09 PM

Clippers fan should stay humble. Facts: never won anything. Owner is a greedy turd. They blow it every time, in every way possible.

You fans should just be happy your team is finally ‘paying the rent’ at staples.

Classic case of JV team thinking they’re something they’re not.

    GFY’s

Bledsoe will do fine. They’d still beat the Lakers, that’s for sure…

  7. pricejustin24 - Jan 14, 2013 at 8:26 PM

I can’t wait til the wheels fall of the wagon. The basketball gods will never let a Donald Sterling owned team win a damn thing. Book it

  8. paulhargis53 - Jan 14, 2013 at 8:31 PM

Aww look, its whiny b*tch pricejustine!

Doing the same thing to Clippers fans that he was bawling about on the lakers threads.
    What a flaming hypocrite.
Someone must have their panties stuck in their meat curtains. Poor girl.

  9. pricejustin24 - Jan 14, 2013 at 8:34 PM

    Hahahahaha you are a tool

  10. jerdogthompson - Jan 14, 2013 at 9:25 PM

Hay Justine, that’s my line. Quit hanging on my short and curly’s meat head.

Keep talking ur none sense as it only adds fodder to those that actually have a clue. (Quick go look up fodder as I’m certain u haven’t a clue what it means).

How’s that’s marathon of Scooby doo going in ur parents basement turd?

  11. paulhargis53 - Jan 14, 2013 at 9:27 PM

Nothing for a comeback again? Jesus, just give it up. You have nothing of relevance to say. Just a bunch of whining, crying and b*itching.

  12. jerdogthompson - Jan 14, 2013 at 9:27 PM

Oh yeah, what’s that? Lakers got 16 huh.

Good thing the lowly cavs came to town to give u 16 WINS

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  13. jerdogthompson - Jan 14, 2013 at 10:52 PM

Oh no CP is out, the end is near?

Or is it a sign of what’s to come playoff time. If there was any doubt I think EB just removed any and all.

Signature win. I feel for the Memphis fans after last year and tonight. They got straight man handled in their house period. I especially like that dirty filthy Spaniard getting dealt a fierce blow. Suits him after that flagrant trip that caused BG the knee injury last year. Although he’s an upgrade from Gasoft, not saying much but ehhh.

Better luck next year haters. This is the Clippers year.

  14. pricejustin24 - Jan 14, 2013 at 11:35 PM

We’ll see. 100% clippers will not win the championship. Done deal. Just be happy your team is finally able to pay their rent at staples. What a joke

  15. fearthehoody - Jan 14, 2013 at 11:52 PM

Gotta love how the rest of the NBA fans are jealous/afraid/hating on Clipper Nation now! Feels good to run this decade

  16. jerdogthompson - Jan 15, 2013 at 12:07 AM

Aw Justine. Scooby doo is over. Isn’t it past ur bedtime? Good little girls need to be in bed before the street lights come on.

Scratch that go play in the street.

    What a maroon.

Delusional clippers fans… We shall see
