They’ll test the waters, but Pierce isn’t going anywhere unless someone really blows them away with an offer they actually can’t refuse. Same thing that happened with Rondo, he wasn’t going anywhere unless he could get us CP3. Nothing to see here.

Danny Ainge is a horrible GM. He’s really bad. Didn’t learn from his last mistake when he traded Perkins in ’11. This idiot, Ainge trades his starting center after the all-star break when his team had the best record in the east and second best in the league. No loyality in sports. If Ainge were to trade Pierce, he would get chased out of Boston.

Gay for Pierce? John Hollinger would never sign on to that deal. I wouldn’t sign on to that deal. I think Pierce is an all time great, but he’s 35 and slowing down. Why would u trade prime for past his prime?

23 points from Pierce tonight over Houston to make it five wins in a row. He can’t dominate every night, but now that the second team has jelled (suprisingly), it would be foolish to trade him, for the reasons Kurt lists and because Pierce has developed into a wily veteran winner who can come through in big games like few others do. Without substantial contributions from the bench this team was going nowhere, but with Bradley back, Green coming around, Sullinger looking very impressive in the paint, and Courtney Lee stepping up his defense, this is no time to trade the captain.

I would say there is no way the Celts would trade Pierce just based off chemistry alone. Then I remembered the Perk trade and am far less skeptical.
