Top 10 assists of Steve Nash’s career (VIDEO)

Jan 9, 2013, 10:09 AM EDT

Tuesday night Steve Nash became just the fifth player in NBA history to reach 10,000 assists in his career, joining John Stockton, Mark Jackson, Magic Johnson and Jason Kidd. Nash is one of the best point guards to ever play the game and a future Hall of Fame lock.

To celebrate the achievement, put together a video of his 10 best assists. Which is just fun to watch. Enjoy.

Of note is also how the player on the receiving end of those passes was ready for it, even moving into a position to get it.

This makes Nash’s recent statement all the more revealing:
In other words, before a team will be able to make best use of his talents, they might have to be together longer than a few months, or even a season. So the question is: Are the Lakers and their fans willing to be patient with a guy pushing 40?

Nowhere has the most-meaningful of dictums to “relax and enjoy life” more lost than on (a large portion of) sports fanatics. That’s ironic.

Congrats, Steve, you should be a first ballot HOF. If this were baseball, enough idiot writers would send in blank votes and you wouldn’t make it.
