Lebron is even better this year than he was last year. Reports of Wade’s demise are greatly exaggerated- he is shooting a career high FG% and has improved week to week. Remember that a year ago the Heat started with a fast paced all out attack, eventually wore down and adjusted comes playoffs. I wouldn’t bet against them doing the same thing this year. They will cruise to a top 2 seed in any case, and staying healthy remains the regular season’s #1 priority.

Varejao is much better now than he was then. For instance, his offense was non-existent 5 years ago, but now he can do some stuff with the ball besides for just finishing plays. Also, his rebounding numbers are better now. Back then, Verajao was all energy and youth, no skill.

But agreed, Varejao was still an excellent rebounder and relatively good defender back then. He was the only legitimate playoff starter on that team.

Anyways I digress – how can you possibly argue this point? Cleveland went from being the team with the most wins in the NBA to being the team with the most losses in the NBA. How much clearer does it get? What other evidence do you need? Are you going to make some assinine point about Ilgauskus leaving?

But somehow this means one of his best because of a better shooting % and slight increase in boards.

Let me tell you an absolute fact.
If the Heat had the best record in the NBA we wouldn’t be reading a weekly rant from James about his frustrations. And you wouldn’t read jack about lack of rebounding.

IMO James came into this year “hell bent” on NOT winning a scoring title. “hell bent” on showing he can play a different “Magic Johnson” type of game. Which he can, it’s just that the Heat would be winning more if he played to win, rather than play to with with a particular style.

I watch the games, I see times where the Heat are floundering and James refuses, to take the game over. It’s those times when the best player in the world needs to be the best player in the world. Be selfish, get the win.

This year James just doesn’t seem to want to step up in those times. And that’s on him.

Eh? So you want James to do more (he’s already having one of his best statistical seasons of his career) but then acknowledge that he’s the best? Your mindset is shared with many others, and just proves that no matter what Lebron does, it will never be enough.

His passing and being like Magic is part of what makes him the best player on the planet (along with his strength, speed, shooting, driving, defense, rebounding, and everything else). He’s always played that way, and he always will.
