Rasheed Wallace and JR Smith were also to be considered bad for the locker room; he can’t be worse than them. Melo, Wallace, JR, Chandler, and Martin all have that same edgy pedigree and all of em are good friends .

the idea of martin to the knicks was floated around in the past, and i’m still surprised he’s held out this long from being on any roster, due to contract demands. but i bet now of all times, the knicks are putting serious consideration into getting a player of kmart’s caliber on the team.

after what transpired in the knicks-celtics game last night, the knicks could use someone like martin who plays with an edge, and who isn’t afraid to confront a dispute for his team, involved or not. to protect the star player of course, martin could step in between certain altercations and bring some enforcement. aside from what he can bring to the game of basketball, the signing would also be to make his presence felt, but in a way that let’s the opposition know ‘we not having none of that’, not to go out seeking fights.
