One more time with feeling. At least part of his punishment in this case was due to his lack of cooperation with the league.Yimming your yap at people whose job it is to look into these things is just being a dick. And being a dick in this case,got him a 1 game suspension.

It’s 100% clear Rondo bumped the ref, and it’s very clear the bump was as slight as can be. Which is why he didnt get the technical right there, even the ref who was bumped didn’t see it as bad because they were communicating.

There is zero reason for a retroactive punishment, aside from the fact that if they proactively punished the Celtics for Rondos continued lack of leadership and antics, the NBA and Celtics wouldn’t be able to make as much money off of the tickets Rondo sells.

So here’s a better question, why don’t the Celtics minimize his role as a leader and communicating with the Refs so that the continued instances become less rather than more.

I love Doc Rivers, but either he has control over Rondo or he doesn’t. If the coach cannot control his players, he’s lost his ability to coach. Doc is one of the best coaches in the game today, if you keep slapping Rondo on the wrist and letting him act the same way, a coach cannot do his job.

Blaming Ferry for what he did is ridiculous. Like cuban wouldnt have done that?! c’mon. He should have been ejected that game- thats what pissed off Ferry. And plus, Rondo should have been suspended for longer, he has a history of this. What he really needs is a beatdown. He’s been hanging with fashion nerds, that makes you tough all of a sudden?? I hope ainge trades that fool for cousins.

Yeah, Rondo’s defiance gets him in trouble. I would say he could use some humility, but that would probably ruin his game. Then again, maybe humility is what you need to be a good consistent jump shooter. Oh the yin yang of it all….
