Kobe takes to twitter to mock report of fight with Howard

Jan 7, 2013, 5:20 PM EDT

Pretty much everyone around the Lakers has scoffed at the report of a near fight between Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, something reported in the New York Daily News.

Steve Nash told Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell “We laugh at that.”

Kobe took to his new twitter account and took it one more step:

Attached was the photo.

I love that Mike D’Antoni was willing to play along.

The Lakers have some real problems without the made up ones getting in their way.

While I loathe Kobe and the Lakers, I have to say it–This may be the funniest bit I’ve ever seen Kobe involved with in his career. Nicely done, Kobe, Dwight, and Mike.

Seriously, Dwight want to punch him for not sharing the ball.

  3. bospat - Jan 7, 2013 at 5:35 PM

I wish someone would punch that smirk of Kobe’s face!

    • mazblast - Jan 7, 2013 at 5:38 PM

For once, the smirk is justified. This staged photo was more than I would have expected from Kobe.

Come on, admit it. This was funny!

If it were a real fight, Kobe would get slaughtered by Dwight Howard. Dwight is one big dude, Kobe wouldn’t last 5 seconds in a real fight with him.

Glad they are able to laugh considering a team built to try to win the championship might not make playoffs

    # 1. Well atleast we will know how this will turn out if it was Chris Childs in the picture instead of Howard -_- lol

    #2.
    Chirs Childs calls Howards
    C.Childs: Yo Howard
    Howard: Whatsup
C.Childs: Kobe hits like a chick, you got this one, i damn neared killed him with 2 hits
Howard; IK i seen the footage on Youtube, he can fight,
C.Chris: Yea he sweet that fight was ea…(Howard interrupts)
Howard: IDK how you got my number but dont call me no more nobody remembers you thats your only highlight ever (speaks real fast and hang up)
    C.Chris 0_0

#3 Sorry im bored lol as much i hate Lakers its good to see Kobe joke around for once

C’mon Chris Childs stroked Kobe’s chin then ran. Those weren’t punches

    CANT*

  8. deadeyedesign23 - Jan 7, 2013 at 6:48 PM

Jesus Dwight looks like friggen Balrog from Street Fighter.

  9. letangusespertplus - Jan 7, 2013 at 6:48 PM

thats probably how their practices go cause it sure aint improving on the court.

Dantoni’s participation in this picture says all you need to know. You think Mike Woodson or Phil Jackson would partake in this tomfoolery with that clown ass face on when the team is playing terribly?

  11. losangeleschargers17 - Jan 7, 2013 at 8:06 PM

This pic oldy reminds me of the mandingo fight scene from Django, with Dantoni playing dicaprio’s role….

  12. jnlakerfan - Jan 8, 2013 at 12:55 AM

    This season sucks :(
I say they r losing because of dantonis crappy coaching…why the hell is jodie meeks getting more shots then metta, howard, and gasol!!!???? wtf is the matter with dantoni smh!!! -___-

I would rarher give more shots to jamison.

This is so CUTE. Playing near Hollywood, maybe they can join the cast of the Expendables.

A group of OLD WASHED UP DUDES, trying to re-live any resemblance of youth!

OLD AND SLOW…………better in this pic or the movies…..not on the hardwoods !

    Ahahahahah

You know Sly would only offer them union rates for pay. Cheap fu*k that he is . Ask Chuck Webber about that. But your point is well taken, they got Linned and skinned tonight.Where’s bozoforall ? Deep in his math grade 6 Kahn Academy lesson ?Has reality finally sunk in for him or is he still sucking on that compressed air , talking like Donald Duck ?

He is just downplaying what is an actual real issue. Deny away scrubs, even Dwight says there are “chemistry issues” which for some reason didn’t make PBT… Think he’s referencing Kobe? Yes.. yes he is. Damage control.

    • ron05342 - Jan 8, 2013 at 9:59 AM

Damage control my ass. They are clearly having a good time poking fun at the New York writer who got fooled by some stupid source.

Step away from the keyboard and stop looking for conspiracies everywhere…and damn it, take off that tin foil hat!

The couldn’t beat their….. well, whatever.

Plus, that report is another example of what the media has become.
