Cousins isn’t walking through that door! Neither is Bird or Parrish. The Celtics, like the Lakers are probably through for this year. I don’t think the notoriously prejudiced Boston fans would put up with a clown like Cousins. Or Doc for that matter. What about Rudy Gay? I don’t know if the salaries would work or the Griz would be interested in the scrubs the Celtics are probably offering, but he could certainly help the offensively challenged C’s.

Didn’t read the whole article, didn’t want to. But KG has a no trade clause, and I’m pretty sure that Pierce is not going anywhere. Rondo is another one that is highly unlikely to be traded. Disregard this article, because it’s clear that the author of it has no clue what he’s talking about and gets his news from espn.com

They can’t trade Bradley. He and Garnett are the keys to their defense.

They could move Rondo for a lesser but adequate point guard (much as I would hate to see that happen) as part of a deal that brought them a real big. Of the available crop, I’d rather see Dalembert.

They must dump Green, and Bass and Terry are expendable. I would keep Lee and Wilcox.

You should put more power into worrying about the sad state of your Lakers (record worse than the Celtics, Pau Gasol being benched/trade rumors, Dwight Howard’s shoulder, and Steve Nash’s leg) than yelling into the wind about how bad the Celtics are.

Even the Maloof Brothers wouldn’t be dumb enough to let Cousins go. Even then, there are so many moving pieces in any trade scenario that a deal would most likely fall through.

OK. Just the latest rumor, but I wasn’t THAT far off.

This trade could actually benefit everyone, as theoretically constructed. Cousins is a great talent, but the Kings are going nowhere with him and Tyreke Evans as their core I think it’s pretty clear. The Lakers need young bucks to fill out their lineup, not Gasol, and Beantown needs to make a move or risk wasting the twilight of Pierce and Garnett’s HoF careers.

It wasn’t something put out by espn, just me messing around with the trade machine to see if salaries could realistically be matched in accord with the CBA.

Agreed, unless there’s a draft pick or two involved. The Celtics won’t trade Rondo, Garnett, or Pierce, and the rest just isn’t enough or cap-compliant.
