Holiday and Irving have better numbers across the board than smith, rebounds excepted. Williams has better numbers as well.

And “not being asked to do as much” is hardly an argument in favor of naming somebody an all-star. There is some merit in considering JR Smith for a reserve all-star role, due to his clutch shooting and the Knicks excellent start to the season. But at best he is a borderline all-star consideration.

Argument can even be made that JR has won more games for his team than Kyrie has for his. As far as Holiday goes, he deserves to make it as well. I feel JR however being selected as a reserve shouldn’t anger many people. He deserves a nod just as much as some of the “SuperStars” do.
