Whenever I hear someone say Stern plucked CP3 from the Lakers I laugh at their ignorance.

Do your homework meat. The one and only reason the deal fell through was one reason. Jason Smith (same douche that got suspended 2 games for slamming BG). He wanted a long term contract and the LAKERS SAID NO. Quit freaking saying it was Stern. It was Kupcake/Buss that screwed the deal. Just another mistake made by the omnipotent FO if the classy Fakers.

@abrownwareagle That’s funny. Pau isn’t that good? The Lakers were garbage and sinking fast until he arrived, then BOOM they get two rings. Kobe is great, but the majority of any credit for his rings goes to Shaq and Pau. Without Shaq, there is no 3peat. Without Pau, there wouldn’t be the two more recent titles. They were winning when Gasol was the offensive focus in the post, as soon as they stopped doing that they started losing. Also, good luck trading him, he’s getting old even though he’s still talented, and his contract is unwieldy.

Although CP3 dominated the Lakers last night, David Stern was the real MVP of the game since he plucked Paul from the Lakers with his iron fist and and dropped him onto the Clippers roster in the first place. I will always be bitter about this…
But seriously, did any Clipper besides Paul even sniff the ball in the final 2 minutes of the game? Isn’t that cause for concern in Clipper-land? You really had the feeling nobody would come through in the clutch besides CP3. One day he will get injured, or teams will figure out a way to prevent him from getting the ball in those situations, and then we’ll really find out how good this team really is.

It’s called supporting his team. You might think him an idiot, but real fans back their teams regardless of a losing record. Take a cue from soccer fans…they back their teams 100%, no matter how good, or how legendary, their opponents are.

Take the Portland Timbers and the Seattle Sounders. Timbers Army will always call the Sounders the Flounders, even though Seattle has always been a much more successful team. He’s not being an idiot. He’s being a fan. And fans are what make the NBA thrive.

Honestly felt the Clipps got a little bored and with every freaking call going the Lakers way (as if jaffrey wanted to give the crowd their monies worth) they managed to fight back into it. Lets face it though, Clipps dominated this game. Plus, they were missing Jamal, Chauncey & Hill. Or, the 6th man of the year, their starting 2 guard and a premier perimeter defender. Who were the Lakers missing? Oh yeah, Steve Blake. I’m certain HE would have been a major contributor. Quit hating and accept your position at the bottom of the WC ladies.

Besides, we had to conserve what we could to handle the Warriors tonight. We OWE THEM BIGTIME!!!!

Pau is a good player, the lakers don’t need that type of player in the middle to get back on top, they need a player like J Noah to replace Gasol but we all know that ain’t happening so be content with a average team all year until the end of the season when D. Howard jumps ship.

I’m not sure that was a “convincing” win, unless you think Jamal Crawford’s presence would have made it a rout beyond reach. The Lakers decisively won the 4th quarter and pulled just about even at the end, with both teams at full strength. Not coincidentally with Pau (deservedly) on the bench. Kobe played as great as he ever has, but CP took this game.

yes the Clippers got their win. but if I was them, id be kind of nervous. the Lakers arnt a very good team right now. their not completely healthy, they dont fit the mold of their coach and their old. Trading Pau for some youth wouldn’t be a bad idea. That being said, the Lakers proved that they can still hang with the big boys by playing great streches of defense late in the 4th and cutting a big 19 point lead to just 2. 1 if Kobe couldve sank the 3 that rolled out. Anyways what im seeing now is better movement on offense from them, they finally have a guy who can stretch the floor with Nash. Hes always been one of the best shooters in the game. Now why should this be a concern to the Clippers? Well they really struggle when you clamp down on Paul and force the team to play a half court set. They are really going to have to address that issue come playoff time when teams step up their defences and start fighting for each bucket. Also the Lakers couldve possibly won this game and Del Negro saw it, hence the hack-a-dwight tactic.

And really Clippers gotta get their own city now if their gonna keep this team cuz last night really didnt feel like it was their homeground with the crowd eating up everything Kobe was doing.
