NYC lineup - Felton - the starting PG out. Shump - the starting SG hasn't played all year. STAT - the starting PF played for the second time this season. As a team, they've swept the Spurs, beat the Heat in both games this season (both times by 20 points), and have the second best record in the east. Yeah sure, they have real issues. smh

Watched this game. Developed a hate on for the Knicks. Don't even really know why, but it bothers me how often Am are travels and how many calls they get as a team. They also act like they are 5 time champions. Love the Spurs, love Pop, hate on growing for the Knicks, which probably means they are pretty good

I wouldn't say it worked beautifully. The d held the Spurs but other than melo they had no offense on the floor to start. They got going once r smith and amare came. JR smith needs to be leading candidate for 6th man and hopefully gets some all-star recognition. All in all, this team has great depth, and once they get healthy and figure it all out they could contend.

it is only January and Woody hasn't had a completely healthy team.
Felton will be back in a month and Shumpert will also hold the back courts
defense together.
the Knicks haven't practiced a lot because Woody has been worried about
burning the guys out. this past week they were able to practice their defense
as you heard from Amare and his statement about playing D.

Knicks will be all right, Woody is a excellent coach, it starts with him.

I get what you are saying about the defence, however you're forgetting Iman Shumpert. The guy is only a sophomore this year and has serious potential, perhaps All-Star calibre. Even after one year his work on the perimeter gave him the reputation of being one of the best in the league. With Camby shaking off rust, Rasheed coming back, Smith and Melo showing palpable hustle like never before and Amar'e asking Woody to help him with his woes, I can only see improvement coming down the road.
