King carried an ordinary at best team into the playoffs and beat a superior, deeper Detroit team nearly all by himself. And pushed Boston as well. How many stars could do as much? Not many, I assure you.

Somehow I reminded of that old saying, ya know, people that live in glass house’s. I get your beef with LL or Bozo or whoever he may be, but too call the Lakers “pathetic” while the C’s are playing JUST as bad is crazy too me. I hate to have to agree with Chuckles Barkley but the Lakers will never win a championship as long as Dumbtoni is coach, even if the Lakers were loaded with all the best stars in the league. The problem with the Lakers looking old and slow is the ignorant system of offense and defense Dumbtoni has wrought upon our once mighty team. Only the King of the Kingdom of Idiots would try to play a small ball offense with this Laker’s lineup.

I saw some of the early game and wondered what the heck Pau was doing shooting and missing three’s when he should be down low working with Howard to put the other team’s big men in foul trouble. The Lakers just don’t have any defense because Dumbtoni has no clue how to devise any defensive scheme that works, just looks at his pathetic career.

The sooner the Lakers fire Dumbtoni and hire Phil Jackson the better, the little idiot buss boy had better get a clue he screwed up badly picking a new coach. The sooner the Lakers dump Ancient Nash and bring in a young talented point guard like Kyrie Irving the sooner the Lakers will stop looking old and slow.

Go Kobe!!! Fire Dumbtoni!!! We Want Phil!!!

Bernard King was a little before Barkley’s time (I believe), but I meant King was a great, great player whom has never won a title either. Barkley ain’t dumb. Just ask his accountant, who probably graduated from Princeton.

You all can say whatever you want about C. Barkley (and I’m not a big fan), but he does know what he’s talking about most of the time, he’s an NBA HOFer (or, did you forget?) and he was a serious force back in his day. The Lakers are not very good (really) and they are not going to win a title with this squad this season; Howard is a bust and Nash is up there in age as well as Kobe, and, D’Antoni’s system is for a younger group of players with young legs and it has never really won anything. You can’t win a title without defense! Stop hating on Charles; he played in one of the best eras of NBA basketball history. Ewing, Miller, Bernard King, Karl Malone, John Stockton…, all never won an NBA Championship. Give it a rest already and have some contsructve contributions in your posts, beside hating on what Barkley’s opinion is. He did win an Olympic Gold Medal with a few of those who never won a ring; the greatest team ever assembled. Yeah, he says some dumb things outside of the topic of b-ball but he does know the game extremely well. Oh, and you all are still paying enough attention to post your comments and he’s still rich. That “ain’t” being dumb or a loser. None you could beat him in a game now and he’s pretty busted up from b-ball, physically and none of you would ever pick a fight with him. He may not know anything about winning a championship but he did know how to redefine his position and become a Hall Of Famer. Get your collective minds right.

A.) Spurs aren’t the oldest team in the NBA
B.) Why wouldn’t Chuck know what he’s talking about? He played the game at a HoF level for years, as opposed to commenters who just read a few blogs a day.
C.) Lakers won’t even make the playoffs, so you don’t need to worry about beating ONE team, let alone a couple in a row.

They may have said that when Barkley was a Sun, but it was for totally diff Reasons. The Suns went 62-20 as the number 1 seed out of the west, and most believe to this day that the only reason they lost is b/c they played again a Chicago Bulls Team featuring the G.O.A.T. The Lakers have no shot at being the number 1 seed, as they struggle just to get to and above .500. I’m with Charles on this one the Lakers have no shot, but at least Kobe can achieve one thing over Jordan.. More points, lol..
