Blake Griffin three hits side of backboard; Warriors, fans have fun with that (VIDEO)

Jan 3, 2013, 11:53 AM EDT

That Blake Griffin missed a three isn’t really news — he’s 2-of-11 from there this season and most of those shots, like the one above, come late in the clock when he doesn’t have the time to get a better one.

But when you are All-Star Blake Griffin and you hit the side of the backboard with your shot, you’re going to hear it. The Warriors bench was having some fun with the badly missed corner three and the Golden State crowd picked up on that and started in on Griffin. Just remember, the Warriors have the Clippers on the schedule again this weekend. There could be payback.

Griffin has struggled during the Clippers’ two losses, shooting 6-of-22.

Hat tip the The Big Lead for the video.

I would have thought his training with Carmelo during the summer would have helped his 3 point shot…
