I love how the Celtics' season relies on a SG who doesn't do much more than pester other teams guards. Unless Bradley is the guy with the meth that makes Garnett and Pierce stop being so slooooooooow and somehow rebounds 20 times a night, the Celtics will still suck, still be a barely there 8 seed (maybe) and still be out after a 4-0 or 4-1 1st round.

Enjoy, Boston fans.

actually guys, there was a time the celtics were thinking of trading rondo. rondo was not always the floor leader u see today. he did not always have the keys to the franchise. there was a time ppl got on rondo and said he wouldn't be all that nice because he couldn't shoot until he started upping his assists averages. he became a more dependable presence. there was a time he argued with every elder in the franchise including kg and pierce. he was a headache. he wasn't always performing at an all star level. rondo became nice. he elevated his game. but it is fact they were considering trading him in the past. he was not always untouchable flourishing for a longgg time does not mean 'since the beginning'. he had a normal start. not everyone saw THIS rondo coming. bradley not being the playmaker rondo is doesn't mean they wouldnt trade rondo for the right price. i never said bradley would be that leader rondo is, and i bet you wouldnt be saying this 3 -4 yrs ago. when everyone was on rondo because he couldnt get his own shot off.

It's not like his shooting was his bread and butter. He's there for defense first and foremost. I doubt he's just been sitting on a couch while he recovers. This is also the same guy who played for much of last year with a shoulder that popped out of place like Mel Gibson's in Die Hard. His shot might not be there, but his defense should be fine. One player is not going to fix all of the Celtics' woes, though.

It would be very surprising to see a guy return from injury after a good part of a year on the shelf and be in immediate top of game shape and completely alter an entire team.

It will take time - what the Celtics need is simply to make the playoffs healthy - seeding is irrelevant. If key players are peaking then, that's what the celts are hoping for

Rondo has "flourished" for a longggg time so you heard wrong. Bradley is an excellent energy guy who can do many things on the floor but he'll never be the playmaker that hits each player in their spots. We've heard cousins is untradeable(probably is for the right price) but it sure ain't going to be for rondo.

i think i remember hearing in the past , during the times rondo was a headache to the vets, how the celtics were willing to deal rondo because they believed in avery bradley enough to handle that position. since then rondo has flourished, and became more of a leader.

but imagine if they still think bradley can man down the pg spot, and they are so desperate for a center that they deal rondo for cousins.
