Actually it’s pretty easy to compare the teams, especially when they have already played each other. Hmm… How’d that turn out again? So they won a few years ago? Does anybody besides Laker fans care? Not really. The Mavs won a couple of years ago, look at em now! Same with the Pistons! Remember when the Kings were good? Yeah, things change. Lakers suck now, they can’t even beat the team you’re talking trash about, “irrelevant” you said, on their home court! It’s okay, I know it hurts that you’re team is doomed to be terrible for a few seasons, they’ll get back to winning once Nash and Kobe and MWP and Gasol are gone. It’s a good thing you’re getting your crying done now, because you’re stuck with em for a bit. Meanwhile the Magic will just keep killing y’all, since its become so easy these days

Did a orlando magic fan ( a fan that has NEVER seen his team lift the Larry O’brien trophy ) call the Lakers irrelevant??? Pot meet kettle. C’mon you are messing up the rotation, it’s puff puff pass!!!! We won back 2 back championships 3 years ago. It really wasn’t that long ago. I know being a magic fan makes you block out painful memories, so it’s easy too forget that. Your franchise has NEVER done ANYTHING worth while, that’s why you tried too suck off the Celtic’s. It shows how PATHETIC your franchise truly is because, you magic fans act like you won the finals beating the Lakers in a regular season game. Trying too compare your franchise too mine isn’t apple’s too oranges. Ya’ll aren’t even CLOSE!!!! & YOU KNOW IT!!!!! You have the nerve too talk about “runner-up”???? Really??? Just like a laker fan to look at a “couple of years ago”! Living in the past wont help your present, you’re team is average at best. You have huge contracts with old and washed up players for the next few years, you’re done. Meanwhile, ORL has young talent and is playing great for a team that was supposed to be the worst, arrow is pointing up for us! We KILLED y’all! In Staples! The Magic did! Accept it, realize that you’re irrelevant for the next few years, and move on.
It’s all about the banners with Lakers fans… Only until they run into a Celtics fan lol. Love it!

Who wrote this article? Dennis Rodman has had 30+ several times. Barkley, Mutombo , and Rony Seikley all had 30+ rebound games in the 1990s. Charles Oakley had 35 in 87-88. And then Bynum last year. Do some research buddy!

I’m obviously no Magic fan but you are totally correct. Orlando has been a pleasant surprise this season, they fight every night.

I won’t declare the Laker end of the trade dead yet, although things do look promising in that regard . Kudos to the Magic for moving on, let’s see how they use those picks and the $$$ they freed up.

Wow, sloppy writing. Your link is sorted by POINTS, not rebounds. Only two guys since 85 have had more than 29 POINTS while also grabbing 29+ boards. Rodman alone had multiple 30+ rebound games when he regularly averaged in the high teens. Seems like common sense that any NBA fan worth his salt would know that.

They aren’t that great but they give everything they have and for a very young and injured team I couldn’t be a happier fan with the record they have. The future looks bright for the magic. Can’t say the same for the other teams in that Dwight howard 4 team trade. The magic got the best deal for their future and saved the most $. Lakers are a .500 team, 76ers got screwed, nuggets floating around .500.

You really should read what to write and what you link to.

Odd how in the link you used there are 19 instances where someone grabbed 29+ boards.

Perhaps you were thinking 20 pts and 29 boards or better as that would bring in Kevin Willis referenced date. But still from the same link, you can easily sort it out and see it had occured 8 times since 85-86. Love, Willis twice, Mutombo twice, Barkley, Oakley, and Herb Williams.
