David Stern worships the ground the Heat walk on, because they sell so much overpriced sh**. They personify the “stars and scrubs” method of winning NBA titles–I mean, selling merchandise–while the Spurs simply concentrate on being that old-fashioned concept of “a team” and win. The latter is to be discouraged and is much hated by The Troll.

Stern will never, ever fine the Heat lest his dream of a Heat-Lakers finals not happen. Meanwhile, if Gregg Popovich so much as breathes loudly, he can expect a call from one of Little Caesar’s henchmen.

You are right Shockexchange, this is a basketball site. However, With Kurt writing about Lebron’s biking, eating, and favorite wrestler, I think it is safe to say this is not strictly a basketball ste.

the guys you’re calling scrubs are still NBA champs, with veteran experience that can contribute to the overall winning attitude in a losing locker-room.

So, there is an extreme amount of value there. BUT you would have to understand the complexities of developing a winning franchise first.

Conversely, the guys the Heat would be getting in return, that I suggested….that you call “legit” have NEVER won a CHIP! Not any of them.

So, there is value on both sides………But you would have to have the ability to be able to ascertain what value is and what an organization needs to move to the next level, to create a win-win situation.

LBJ is playing the majority of the games. He is always on the floor. Meanwhile:

* Wade is sitting on the bench, practicing his angles and smiles, for his modeling career.

* Bosh is running around, trying to get guys to sweat on him….That dude has a little sugar in his tank…jus saying.

This team looks like some of the Cleveland teams LBJ played on where he had to put up 50 a night, to win.

If they want to SNIFF a Finals appearance, they better trade Chalmers, Miller, Battier, Haslem and package them to get:

Javale Mcgee,Joakim Noah or Varejao

The line is fairly simple. In a marquee matchup on national television, don’t rest ALL of your perfectly healthy stars.

I’m sure if the Heat or Spurs were playing the Bobcats, it would be okay to rest one of your starters.
