Ever year all i hear is the celtics are old, slow, they won’t do anything, they’ll struggle to get to the playoffs blah blah blah. Didn’t any of you haters learn anything last year? the more you count out a great team like boston, the more you motivated them. 15-17 last year & the team changed when Bradley entered the lineup, just like it will this year. Celts are flawed, no doubt, but people will finally understand the effect Bradley has on the defense and the offense when he returns this week. If the Celtics are still under/at .500 by the deadline, I think Danny should take this opportunity to try and fleece a contender or two by moving some of the older/ more expensive pieces of the roster.

With Rondo as a building block, adding a few solid picks (contenders draft late, sadly), young players and cap room seems like a smart way to rebuild.

Yeah, but it’s not like we were expecting too much, what with their championship anchor HoFers being at the place in their careers where a retirement announcement wouldn’t be a shock, losing another HoFer and replacing him with the infrequent but inevitable 6th man upgraded to starter curse, which is only more likely when he’d already logged 13 NBA seasons.
