Maybe an older veteran who is a year or two away from retiring might help a younger guy, but a guy in his prime won’t help another guy in his prime get better because they could lose their job.
The NBA is all about self-motivation. That’s what separates the guys who have long careers versus guys who flame out after 2-3 years.
